Kabar menyenangkan untuk anda pengguna Handheld LG Optimus GT-540: Update ICS AOKP ROM terbaru yakni versi 3. Yang sudah di publikasikan tanggal 10 Mei lalu dengan beberapa fitur ICS AOKP ROM yang sudah diperbaiki dan bisa anda download gratis. Kebetulan, update terbaru dari ICS AOKP ROM kali ini adalah update terakhir untuk Custom ROM yang berbasis AOKP [Android Open Kang] ini.

ICS AOKP ROM ini merupakan kelanjutan dari AOKP DevSwifts Android 4.0.4 yang dikembangkan PolishVodka. Custom ROM ini sudah sangat sempurna meski perlu beberapa upgrade lagi. Tetapi secara keseluruhan ROM ini sudah berfungsi dengan baik dan tanpa masalah.

Beberapa Perubahan pada update ketiga kali ini antara lain

Update Terakhir Android Open Kang Project untuk GT 540 Optimus

Dengan munculnya update ketiga (dan terakhir dari PolishVodka) untuk Android Open Kang Project LG GT540 kali ini berarti seluruh fitur-fiturnya sudah Fully working. Dan dinyatakan sudah stabil dan menjadi Custom ROM tercepat untuk Android 4.0.4 GT540!

Meskipun kelihatannya PolishVodka tidak menyertakan Swap, sistem-nya sudah mampu melakukan multitasking dengan free RAM yang lebih lega. Anda bisa menjalankan Music Player dengan EQ + Root Explorer + Gallery + Browser + Calculator + Calendar yang berjalan di background tanpa menutup salah satu aplikasi, meskipun tanpa swapping.

Untuk menggunakan AOKP Final Edition vol.3 di Hanheld GT-540 Optimus anda, anda harus memiliki setidaknya partisi sistem sebasar 165 MB
Berikut langkah untuk meng-install Cutom ROM AOKP ICS Final Edition ini
Masuk ke Recovery Mode CWM
Back-up ROM anda terlebih dahulu
Wipe data/factory reset
Mounts and storage --> format system , sdext , boot
Pilih file GT540_AOKP_FinalEdition_vol.3.zip dari sdcard
Install file tersebut
Reboot system setelah selesai
Reboot sekali lagi.
Selesai.
Oh iya, untuk fitur Deepsleep tidak akan bisa berjalan jika bluetooth/wifi dalam keadaan menyala, saya sarankan untuk mematikannya jika anda tidak menggunakannya untuk menghemat baterai.
Perhatian! Windows MTP USB Driver tidak muncul, hapus file wpdmtp.inf dan wpdmtp.PNF dari folder C:Windows/inf/files/

DevSwifts kernel - Anda bisa mencoba Original ROM kernel DevSwift_kernel.zip tetapi mungkin beberapa fitur tidak bekerja sebagaimana mestinya. Jika ingin kembali menggunkan kernel milik Miroslav anda tinggal Flashing dengan file Restore_Miroslav_kernel.zip.

BTDialingFix - Gunakan jika memang anda menggunakan headset bluetoth untuk melakukan panggilan.

12dalvikcache.txt - Rename dulu menjadi 12dalvikcache saja tanpa ekstensi txt, pindahkan ke system/etc/init.d dan rubah file permissionnya. Reboot. Script ini menciptakan folder dalvik-cache dalam cache partition dan memindahkan dalvik-cache milik aplikasi system. Dengan ini anda punya ruang tambahan dalam ROM untuk meng-install aplikasi. Dan anda perlu hati-hati saat menghapus dalvik-cache ketika dalam mode recovery.

Memory_optimizer - Download dari XDA Flash dengan CWM setelah Install cusrom.

DSPManager - Fitur ini dibuang dari ROM untuk menambah perfoerma, hanya jika anda membutuhkan saja. Bawaan dari ROM ICS: MusicFX from sudah bagus saat digunakan dengan Music Playr default.

wpa_supplicant_adhoc & wpa_supplicant_standard - untuk Ad-Hoc Wi-Fi. dan jika HH anda tidak bisa menemukan AP Wi-Fi

key_original - untuk mengembalikan fungsi tombol sesuai fungsi aslinya.

Download APK Asus Launcher Terbaru Update

Asus Zen-UI LogoAsus Zen-UIZen-UI Launcher, atau biasa di sebut Asus Launcher, sebenarnya hanya di sediakan untuk perangkat Android dari Asus saja. Tetapi aplikasi ini tersedia di Playstore. Tentu saja hanya Asus Zenfone Series saja yang bisa mendownload dari PlayStore.

Dan sebelumnya, saya sudah pernah membagikan zen-UI Launcher apk hasil deodex dari system untuk perangkat selain Zenfone Series yang ukuran file apk-nya kecil sekitar 2-3 MB saja.

Aplikasi Asus Launcher ini sudah beberapa kali di-update. Besar file apk update terakhir file apk-nya sekitar 6 MB.
Untuk update terakhir, ada fitur yang ditambahkan yakni adanya Smart Folder. Selain itu interface juga lebih ringkas.

How to Update Galaxy Ace 2 I8160 with Android 4 1 2 XXMK2 Jelly Bean Official Firmware

Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 (GT-I8160) users in UK has already received the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update with base firmware XXMK2. The new official firmware is now available as an Over-The-Air (OTA) update as well as through Samsung KIES.

Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 I8160 users who missed the OTA update notification or unable to access the update over Samsung KIES, and those who are residing outside UK can now download and install the same manually, using our step-by-step guide.

Pre-requisites
1. Install USB Drivers for Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 on the computer.
2. Enable USB Debugging Mode on the phone by navigating to Settings >> Developer Options.
3. Make a backup of all your important data before following the guide.
4. The Galaxy Ace 2 should be factory unlocked and not locked to any particular carrier.
5. Ensure the battery of the phone is charged more than 80 percent.
6. The Android 4.1.2 XXMK2 Jelly Bean firmware is compatible only with the Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 (GT-I8160). Applying this to any incorrect variant might brick the device. Verify the model number of the Galaxy Ace 2 by navigating to Settings >> About Phone.

Steps to Update Galaxy Ace 2 I8160 with Android 4.1.2 XXMK2 Jelly Bean Firmware
Step 1: Extract Firmware zip file using WinRAR/7-Zip/WinZip or any other extracting tool, you will get a .tar.md5 file and some other files (optional).
Step 2: Extract Odin zip file and you will get Odin3 v3.07.exe along with few other files.
Step 3: Switch off the Galaxy Ace 2.
Step 4: Boot the device into Download Mode by pressing and holding Volume Down, Home and Power buttons together until a construction Android robot icon with a warning triangle appears on screen. Now press the Volume Up button to enter Download Mode.
Step 5: Run Odin on the computer as an Administrator.
Step 6: Connect the Galaxy Ace 2 to the computer using USB cable while it is in the Download Mode. Wait until Odin detects the device. When the device is connected successfully, the ID: COM box will turn to light blue with the COM port number. Additionally, the successful connected will be indicated by a message saying Added.

Note: If the Added message does not appear, then try re-install USB drivers or changing the port on the computer.

Step 7: Select the following files in Odin from extracted I8160XXMK2 firmware folder:
  • Click the PDA button and select the .tar.md5 file.
  • Click the Phone button and select file with MODEM in its name. Ignore if there is no such file.
  • Click the CSC button and select file with CSC in its name. Ignore if there is no such file.
  • Click the PIT button and select the .pit file. Ignore if there is no such file.
Step 8: In Odin, enable Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time checkboxes. Also, ensure the Re-Partition checkbox is chosen only if a .pit file was chosen in the previous step.
Step 9: Verify everything suggested in Step 7 and Step 8 is done correctly. Then hit the Start button to begin the installation process.
Step 10: Once the installation process is completed, your phone will restart and soon you will see a PASS message with green background in the left-most box at the very top of the Odin. You can now unplug the USB cable to disconnect your device from the computer.

Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 I8160 should be now updated with official Android 4.1.2 XXMK2 Jelly Bean. Head over to Settings >> About Phone to verify the software version running on the device.

Note: If Galaxy Ace 2 I8160 stuck at booting animation after Step 10 then go to recovery mode (press and hold the Volume Up, Home and Power buttons together) and perform Wipe data/Factory Reset and Wipe Cache Partition task before selecting reboot system now function. In recovery mode use Volume keys to navigate between options and Power key to select the option. Please note, performing wiping task will erase your device internal memory data and not external SD card data.

An official software Over-The-Air (OTA) update is rolling out for the international version of Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-I9500 with base firmware XXUAMDL. The XXUAMDL build is an unbranded version of firmware which means it can be installed on any Galaxy S4 I9500 unit.

Step 2: Extract Odin zip file and you will get Odin3 v3.07.exe along with few other files.
Step 3: Power off your phone. Wait 5-6 seconds for vibration to confirm complete switch off.
Step 4: Boot the device into Download Mode by pressing and holding Volume Down + Home buttons together and then press the Power button until the device turns on. Now press the Volume Up button to enter Download Mode.
Step 5: Run Odin on the computer as an Administrator.
Step 6: Connect the  Galaxy S4 to the computer using USB cable while it is in the Download Mode. Wait until Odin detects the device. When the device is connected successfully, the ID: COM box will turn yellow with the COM port number. Additionally, the successful connected will be indicated by a message saying Added. If Odin fails to detect the device then re-install USB driver.
Step 7: Choose the following files in Odin from extracted I9500XXUAMDL firmware folder by using respective checkboxes:
  • Select the PDA checkbox, and choose the file named .tar or .md5.
  • Click the Phone checkbox, and choose the file with modem in its name (ignore if there is no such file)
  • Click the CSC checkbox, and select the file with csc in its name (ignore if such file is missing)
  • Choose the PIT checkbox, and choose the .pit file. Use only the file obtained during extracting in step 1 above, otherwise ignore it.
Step 8: In Odin, enable Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time checkboxes. Also, ensure the Re-Partition checkbox is chosen only if a .pit file was chosen in the previous step.
Step 9: Verify everything suggested in Step 7 and Step 8 is done correctly. Then hit the START button to begin the flashing process.
Step 10: Once flashing completed, your phone will restart and soon you will see a PASS message with green background in the left-most box at the very top of the Odin. You can now unplug the USB cable to disconnect your device from computer.

Samsung  Galaxy S4 I9500 should be now updated with official Android 4.2.2 XXUAMDL Jelly Bean. Head over to Settings>> About Phone to verify the software version running on the device.

Samsung has just started to push Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update with firmware build number N5100XXCMK1 for the international 3G version of the Galaxy Note 8.0 bearing model number GT-N5100. The new official update is currently available as an Over-The-Air (OTA) update as well as through Samsung KIES.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 N5100 users who missed the OTA update notification or unable to access the update over Samsung KIES, may follow our step-by-step guide to install the update manually.

Pre-requisites
1. Install USB Drivers for Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 on the computer.
2. Enable USB Debugging Mode on the phone by navigating to Settings >> Developer Options.
3. Make a backup of all your important data before following the guide.
4. The Galaxy Note 8.0 should be factory unlocked and not locked to any particular carrier.
5. Ensure the battery of the phone is charged more than 80 percent.
6. The Android 4.2.2 XXCMK1 Jelly Bean firmware is compatible only with the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 with model number GT-N5100. Applying this to any incorrect variant might brick the device. Verify the model number of the Galaxy Note 8.0 by navigating to Settings >> About Phone.

Steps to Update Galaxy Note 8.0 N5100 with Android 4.2.2 XXCMK1 Jelly Bean Firmware
Step 1: Extract Firmware zip file using WinRAR/7-Zip/WinZip or any other extracting tool, you will get a .tar.md5 file and some other files (optional).
Step 2: Extract Odin zip file and you will get Odin3 v3.07.exe along with few other files.
Step 3: Switch off the Galaxy Note 8.0.
Step 4: Boot the device into Download Mode by pressing and holding Volume Down, Home and Power buttons together until a construction Android robot icon with a warning triangle appears on screen. Now press the Volume Up button to enter Download Mode.
Step 5: Run Odin on the computer as an Administrator.
Step 6: Connect the Galaxy Note 8.0 to the computer using USB cable while it is in the Download Mode. Wait until Odin detects the device. When the device is connected successfully, the ID: COM box will turn to light blue with the COM port number. Additionally, the successful connected will be indicated by a message saying Added.

Note: If the Added message does not appear, then try re-install USB drivers or changing the port on the computer.

Step 7: Select the following files in Odin from extracted N5100XXCMK1 firmware folder:
  • Click the PDA button and select the .tar.md5 file.
  • Click the Phone button and select file with MODEM in its name. Ignore if there is no such file.
  • Click the CSC button and select file with CSC in its name. Ignore if there is no such file.
  • Click the PIT button and select the .pit file. Ignore if there is no such file.
Step 8: In Odin, enable Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time checkboxes. Also, ensure the Re-Partition checkbox is chosen only if a .pit file was chosen in the previous step.
Step 9: Verify everything suggested in Step 7 and Step 8 is done correctly. Then hit the Start button to begin the installation process.
Step 10: Once the installation process is completed, your phone will restart and soon you will see a PASS message with green background in the left-most box at the very top of the Odin. You can now unplug the USB cable to disconnect your device from the computer.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 N5100 should be now updated with official Android 4.2.2 XXCMK1 Jelly Bean. Head over to Settings >> About Phone to verify the software version running on the device.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 gets another software update

The International version of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, also known as SM-N9005, has just received a OTA Software update from Samsung firmware verison UDMJ6 which is approx about 116MB and includes a fix to the reactivation lock. This lock requires you to sign into the phone with your Samsung account after a factory reset.

While, the reactivation lock will help thieves like it is intended to go, if a user doesnt remember his Samsung accounts particulars that he could be in a trouble because it would be very to difficult to get the phablet back in working condition. If you are a new Galaxy Note 3 owner and you want the reactivation lock on, you need to do it yourself by going to Settings > General > Security.
